FlipMate Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains how this app handles information on your device. The app is designed around local processing and does not operate a separate user account system.

No account is required. FlipMate stores settings, timer state and imported photo copies on your device without uploading them to a developer server. Removing a photo in the app leaves the original in Photos untouched; Apple services and system backups follow your device settings.

Permissions Used

Photos: the system photo picker gives FlipMate only the photos you select, without access to your entire library. Photos stored in iCloud may need to download before import.

Notifications: with your permission, the app schedules local reminders when a focus session ends. Refusing permission does not prevent you from using the timer.

Data Handling

The app stores clock appearance, language and display preferences, timer state and imported photo copies on your device. Widgets keep their own system-managed configuration. FlipMate has no app account or developer-operated content server, and no in-app advertising or third-party analytics SDK.

Imported photos are resized JPEG copies for display, not original-quality backups. Removing one deletes only the app's copy. Resetting preferences is not a photo deletion tool. Deleting the app removes its local data; system backups may retain data according to your settings. FlipMate does not provide its own cloud sync or backup service.

Apple processes purchases. StoreKit verifies the Plus entitlement; FlipMate does not receive your payment card details. If you choose to send a support email, its draft includes the app version, build, device model, system version and language. You can edit it before sending; your email address and submitted information are used to respond to your request and are also handled by the email service.

Important Notes

Clock animations run while the app is in the foreground. Widget refreshes and completion notifications depend on system scheduling, permissions and device settings; second-by-second widget updates or exact notification delivery are not guaranteed.

Desk mode and keeping the screen awake can increase battery use and heat. Use suitable brightness and follow your device's charging and temperature guidance. Keep original photos in Photos or your own backup.

This policy describes the FlipMate app. Opening support or legal pages in a browser uses the website, which may load its own analytics and language-preference cookie.

Third-Party Services

Purchases and downloads are handled by Apple App Store. If you enable iCloud or system services, Apple may process data under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

We do not sell personal data and do not use your content for advertising.
