FondDays Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains how this app handles information on your device. The app is designed around local processing and does not operate a separate user account system.

Your dates, notes and photo copies stay on your device by default. iCloud sync is off until you enable it; it then syncs content through Apple’s private iCloud storage between devices using the same Apple Account. No separate app account is required. Sharing a card sends it to the destination you choose.

Permissions Used

Photos: the system picker provides only the images you select for backgrounds. The app does not request access to your entire photo library. Photos in iCloud may need to download first.

Notifications: with your permission, FondDays schedules local reminders for countdowns, birthdays and anniversaries. Date calculations and widgets remain available if you decline.

Data Handling

FondDays stores titles, dates, optional birth years, notes, ordering, reminder preferences, backgrounds, cropped photo copies and widget configurations on your device. Widgets read a local snapshot without notes or reminder settings. There is no separate app account, developer-operated content server, in-app advertising or third-party analytics SDK.

iCloud sync is off by default. If enabled, dates, notes, ordering, reminder preferences, photo copies and widget configurations are synced through Apple’s private CloudKit database between devices using the same Apple Account. Each device manages its own appearance, notification permission and installed widgets. Turning sync off retains local and cloud data; an Apple Account change pauses syncing. Sync depends on connectivity, storage and Apple’s services, and is not a separate backup service.

Deleting a date or widget configuration records its deletion locally and syncs it when syncing is enabled and succeeds. Deleting the app or disabling sync does not erase cloud data or system backups. Unused photo copies may remain until cleanup; originals in Photos and cards already shared or saved elsewhere are unaffected. Imported photos are resized display copies, not original-quality backups. Manage iCloud storage and system backups through Apple’s settings.

Sharing a card passes its visible content to the destination you choose. Apple processes purchases and StoreKit verifies Pro access; the app does not receive payment card details. If you contact support, your email address and the information you send are used to respond and are also handled by the email service.

Important Notes

Dates use the Gregorian calendar and the device’s local time zone. Lunar dates, traditional nominal age and second-by-second countdowns are not supported. Widget refreshes and reminders depend on system scheduling, permission and device settings; precise delivery is not guaranteed. Some annual reminders require reopening the app to schedule future years.

Third-Party Services

Purchases and downloads are handled by Apple App Store. If you enable iCloud or system services, Apple may process data under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

We do not sell personal data and do not use your content for advertising.
